      <image:title>Home - About Your Acupuncturist</image:title>
<image:caption>Owner and founder Kim Deane (she/her/hers) is a longtime DC resident who came here in 1990 to attend George Washington University. As someone who did physical work for two decades designing and building scenery for theatre and television, Kim is uniquely aware of how much help acupuncture can be for the aches and pains of working, aging people. It was receiving acupuncture for migraines and body pain that led Kim to decide on a career change and pursue her Masters in acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (then called Tai Sophia Institute). As someone from a working class background Kim is passionate about providing acupuncture at a price working people can afford without sacrificing quality. The result of that passion is a 10-year running, inclusive, thriving community acupuncture clinic that is going strong even during a pandemic. Revive is a social business that puts people over profits, welcomes all, and enjoys supporting positive social change. In her free time Kim likes creating artwork, supporting movements like #blacklivesmatter, hanging out with her husband and pets, and birdwatching.</image:caption>
